THE STORY

Soon after Kyobe, a used-plastics collector in the slums of Kampala, witnesses the tragic death of his friend Meega — a pregnant local food vendor — due to malaria, all hell breaks loose when he puts up the fight of his life not to get bitten by a swarm of mosquitoes in the dead of the night.

A multi-award-winning psychological thriller and dark comedy starring Cyrus Bugaba, directed by Daug Mulumba and shot on RED digital cinema cameras by Anthony K. Chukwuma (NCS). Executive Produced by Dr. Denise Njama Meya and Dr. David Meya.

In March 2026, NEDDA swept the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Regional Film Competitions, winning Best Film and Best Community/Impact Film (Central Region), with Cyrus Bugaba taking home the Best Actor award and Director Daug Mulumba recognised for Best Community/Impact Film.
